Life science research increasingly uses automation, principally to provide higher sample throughput but also to ensure consistency and release skilled researchers from repetitive and tedious tasks
Ryan Research Ltd. has worked on instrument development principally for DNA chip hybridisation and Protein analysis by 2D-PAGE followed by MALDI mass spectrometry. However, the "toolkit" of automation, liquid handling, imaging and data handling can be applied to automate many other areas of life science research.
