Embedded Processors

Embedding a processor in a subsytem or product is a low-cost way of adding substantial functionality. The key issue is to devise a good system solution that partitions the required function most efficiently between processor, digital and analog elements. This has to be done alongside choice of the major components so the performance is achieved at minimum cost and risk. Projects have included the following embedded processor types:
